New Delhi: The 16th season fixture of Indian Premier League has been released. The world’s biggest cricket phenomenon will flag off on March 31. In the opening match, defending champions Gujarat Titans will face former champions Chennai Super Kings. The opening match of IPL 2023 will be played at Ahmedabad, the home ground of Gujarat Titans. 10 teams are competing for the cup this season.
The group stage matches will be held from March 31 to May 21. The matches are held in 12 venues. The last match of the league is on May 21. Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Gujarat Titans in this match. The match will be held in Bengaluru. The dates for the playoffs and finals have not been announced.
Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians are 10 teams in the tournament.
Venues are Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamshala.
